Perceptions and Coping Responses of Children with Severe Disabilities and Their Siblings

This study investigates the challenges faced by families of children with severe disabilities; more specifically, the stressors and uplifts of children with severe disabilities and their siblings.
The study is designed to answer the following questions:
- What are the perspectives and experiences of school aged children who have siblings with severe disabilities?
- How do siblings' perspectives and experiences vary according to age and gender?
- What are the perspectives and family experiences of school aged children with severe disabilities?
Data for this project have been drawn from interviews of children and adolescents with severe disabilities and their siblings.
