This project stems from research that was done previously on a parent management training course. The course, entitled "Love, Limits, and Latitude: A Thousand Small Moments of Parenting," is in its third year of presentation. Graduate students from clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, and social work have been trained to present the program to groups of ten-fourteen parents. The program is designed to help parents manage or work with or communicate more effectively with their children, thus improving the children's behavior.
The project this year will evaluate the previous training and presentation of the program to determine its effectiveness concerning the level of training provided to therapists and the kinds of parents who seek help for parenting. To determine these things, parents will complete several questionnaires before, during, and after their training.
