The purpose of this project is to continue the ongoing investigations of the influence of family processes and marriage and family therapy on the health of family members. The topic is related to a large body of literature related to the relationship between emotional stress and health in individuals and families. The idea is that high levels of family-related stress lead to decreased health, increases in illness and subsequent increases in health care use.
