This project investigates the effects of providing marital therapists with feedback designed to make marital therapy more effective and efficient. Effective and efficient marital therapy is important to clients, therapists, supervisors, and case managers. For clients more effective and efficient therapy may mean better outcomes in less time and therefore less expense. For therapists it also means better therapy in fewer sessions for some clients and thus the opportunity to help more clients. It also means that for more difficult cases the therapist will be able to provide more intense therapy which may increase benefits.
